The Bears started their 86th season hosting the Upper Perkiomen Indians at BASH Memorial Stadium.
The Indians scored first after a Boyertown fumble at their own 38-yard line. The Bears defense held strong although Upper Perk ran 10 plays the most the Indians could do was a 32-yard field goal by Brody Losh to make it 3-0 at the 4:55 mark of the first quarter.
The Bears turned it over again at their own 13-yard line Upper Perkiomen only needed one play this time on a touchdown run by Zach Adam to make the score 10-0 with 07 seconds left in the first quarter.
Boyertown came roaring back in the second quarter taking the opening play 55 yards for a touchdown by Logan Oakes and a Gavin Royce kick making it 10-7 just 10 seconds into the second quarter.
The Bears took their first lead of the season just 6 minutes later when Nick Biletta capped a 9-play 65-yard drive and a Royce kick made it 14-10.
Despite a last-second first-half drive by the Indians the Bear's defense and stalled them at the 2-yard line to go into the second half with a lead.
The Second half belonged to the Indians as they retook the lead for good on a 2-yard Logan O'Donnell run at the 2:01 mark of the third quarter and Lash added the extra point again to make it 17-14.
O'Donnell scored again 5 minutes later at the 9:42 mark and Lash tacked another one on to make it 24-7.
The Indians scored again at the 2:56 mark of the 4th on an 88-yard Zach Schwartz run to make it 31-14.
The Bears closed out the scoring with 12 seconds left in the game when Gavin Rotonda went in on a 1-yard touchdown run and Royce kicked the extra point.
