After 79 years between meetings it looked like more of the same for the Bears.  In 4 previous meetings they had not scored a point in fact the only game that was not a loss was a 0-0 tie,

Upper Merion took the lead early on a 5 yard run by Joseph Kovacic and a 62 yard pass fayd Ethridge to Nolan Clyaton to take a early 13-0 lead.

The Bears didn't get cooking til the second half when they finally broke the scoreless drought which dated all the way back to 1942 with a Roman Marinello 65 yard punt return to make it 13-7.

Upper Merion upped the lead again with a Nolan Clayton 19 yard  touchdown run at the end of the third quarter. Boyertown trailed 19-7.

The first play of the fourth quarter saw Marinello break free again for 57 yards Zach Foskey kicked the extra point and the game was 19-14.

The Bears defense came up big holding Upper merion to a 3 and out.

The Bears got the ball back on the Upper Merion 30 yard line but stalled at the UM 7 yard line.

The defense refused to quit they held the Vikings again allowing another 3 and yielding no yards and forcing a punt from the 10 yard line.

Boyertown set up shop on the Viking 40 after the punt and using two key offside calls against the defense  took the lead for good on a Leo Egbe 19 yard touchdown run.

Leo Egbe ended up with 14 carries for 145 yards and Roman Marinello 7 carries for 83 yards and 136 total yards.
