Jamie Moccia finished with 122 yards and two touchdowns, but Boyertown needed to rely on its other offensive threats to pull out a 31-19 win over Phoenixville on Friday in Pioneer Athletic Conference crossover action.
Zachary Davis had 46 yards on the ground to complement Moccia’s big night, and quarterback Mason Marinello was 7-for-13 for 104 yards and a touchdown pass to his brother Roman Marinello. Dominick Tomaselli ran for a one-yard touchdown, and Declan Coyle kicked a late field goal to round out the Boyertown scoring.
Phoenixville’s Aidan Foley carried the ball 21 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns, while Quinn Hoffman connected with Anthony Stevenson for a 32yard touchdown pass.
Phoenixville drew within one, 14-13, on 12-play, 65yard touchdown drive to start the second half. The Bears answered with 17 consecutive points to take control of the game
